Dr. Stokes as Musician

Dr. Stokes has always been involved in music. He has performed as an amateur and professional musician and entertainer in recordings, radio and TV. He also has extensive experience in music ministry in churches, camps, retreats and evangelistic meetings.

As a vocalist, Dr. Stokes has participated as a soloist, in vocal groups and choirs. As an instrumentalist, he is accomplished on the string bass (Classical and Jazz) and the guitar (Rock and Contemporary Christian). He has also written original music and arranged theme songs for professional radio and TV shows.

Dr. Stokes’ A.A. degree was dominated with music theory and direction classes working toward a music major until he discovered the behavioral sciences. Today he continues his musical interests in his congregation leading in music and playing the bass and guitar.
